Hi!
I am a dedicated professional with over 12 years of experience working with young adults with IDD, ASD, and other forms of neurodiversity. My journey began in a leadership role at a small nonprofit, where I guided individuals aged 18–30 in setting and achieving personalized goals focused on social connection, personal growth, and vocational success. Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated with students, families, employers, vendors, agencies, and organizations committed to serving individuals with disabilities.
I have a proven track record of leading and contributing to high-impact teams. In partnership with Texas Workforce Commission Vocational Rehabilitation Services, I’ve
helped lead initiatives such as the largest and most successful Summer Earn and Learn (SEAL) program, serving over 600 transition-age students from 45 school districts. My work also includes launching the first state-funded Job Coach Pilot, and contributing to programs like Paving the Pathway, the Foster Youth Collaborative, and the Galveston Region Employment And Transition (GREAT) Conferences, which have connected more than 300 students and 40 vendors. I’ve presented at major conferences, including the Texas Transition Conference, TWC’s annual conference, and the National Association of Workforce Boards in Washington, D.C., sharing insights on employment inclusion for neurodiverse individuals.
I hold a BS in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Houston with a minor in Education, and I’ve earned credentials in Job Skills Coaching and Supported Employment through the University of North Texas. I also completed the Medium-Term LoneStar LEND Program at UT Health—a leadership initiative focused on neurodiversity advocacy.
On a personal level, I'm a proud bonus parent to an incredible 11-year-old with ASD, ADHD, OCD, Dysgraphia, Klinefelter Syndrome, and other processing differences. His educational journey has deepened my understanding of the importance of early skill-building, advocacy, and knowing how to navigate Special Education laws to access necessary supports.
These combined professional and personal experiences have shown me the critical need for soft skills development among transitioning youth and young adults. They've ignited my passion for empowering neurodivergent individuals and their families with tools, strategies, and encouragement for navigating adulthood—and they’ve reinforced my belief that it’s never too early to start.
I'm passionate about building a world where neurodivergent individuals have equal opportunities to thrive. I’m also fortunate to be connected with a wide network of professionals and organizations that offer complementary support and resources.
Outside of work, I love to travel, explore new restaurants, and enjoy the outdoors. My family and I are always up for a hike, Friday night pizza, and some good-natured pranks. Our dog, Coco, keeps us grounded and reminds us to not take life too seriously. I’ve practiced yoga for over a decade and love puzzles—two go-to hobbies for easing stress. As a proud Houstonian, I’ve enjoyed watching our city grow and evolve, from parks and food to sports teams. Go Astros!
